I am an inspiring designer but I guess I am confused about the use of Fabrics. Is it against a copyright or trademark law,to make and sell clothes from anyl fabrics? Where do the designers get their fabric?|||The issue is generally licensing, not copyright. And the lawyers can make your life fairly miserable, even if you haven't done anything wrong. See: http://www.tabberone.com/

Designers don't buy retail -- they buy wholesale, at market.

If you're not reading at http://www.fashion-incubator.com you should be. Start with:

More on copyright and trademark: http://copyright.gov/ http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/index.js鈥?/a>|||No it's not copyright lol :) just go to your local walmart or any fabric store %26amp; buy however much you want.

Fabrics made then sold in stores %26amp; then you make what you want out of it, designers can like think of a design and what the fabric should look like then try and find something (at the store) similar to what they had in mind.|||You're an aspiring designer ;)

And no, it's not copyright or whatever lol. They get it from fabric stores. If your aspiring, I'd do some research and get fabric from places like fabricland.
