Any way to guess the direction of the penalty flick?

I am a goalie of a high school field hockey team and when the time comes that we go to flicks, I would like to be prepared.

Any tips on if there is a way to guess where the shooter is going to put it (location of stick/foot placement)? Or any general tips for preparing for flicks?

Thanks!|||in hs, usually the girl shooting the penalty flick will go for her strong stick side...their left hand side...your right...

at each practice while they are warming you up, I would ask your coach if you could practice through each girl a penalty stroke. so you get more practice and so your teammates can perfect their craft too...that is what we did in college and our goalie was amazing...the only way you can guess where they are going is if you figure out where the girls typically shoot for...

and always go for where their center of gravity is...usually they are down low and their front toe will point in the direction they want to shoot...unless they are friggen amazing they will most typically go in the direction their body is angled...
