In mlb 08 the show when you guess a pitch wrong, does it decrease your chances of making solid contact?

I've heard different things about this and it never really says in the game. I know if you guess right you have more of a chance, but does guessing wring hurt you?|||Yes, it's the chance you take when guessing the pitch. They have to add in some sort of drawback to trying.|||depends on what type of difficulty you are playing on. I believe that if your playing on rookie level ti won't penalize you in any way. you just dunno where the pitch is. but on normal or HOF you will have either reduced chance of contact or reduced power in the hit.|||Yes. It is very realistic too. In real life if you guess wrong you will miss badly unless you are great at adjusting to pitches.
